Blog News – October 3, 2008

Folks, we are all in a mood to bring in some rare music and rare recordings! That’s why you are finding posts you least expected on Artmap, such as Marathi Naatya Sangeet, Abhang and old Ghazals. The response has been amazing as there have been a lot of downloads. Let us know what you think and how you feel about the music you find on Artmap.

  • Links and Downloads

All download links have been renewed and almost every download is now available through Media Fire. We hope this will enhance your experience on Artmap.  Also, these download links now disclose the size of the file so that you know how big the file is before you download it. The remaining MMShare links will be converted to Media Fire links too in the next couple of days.

  • Search Bar

Now, you can easily find posts and download links by using the search bar located on the side bar below the recent posts list. Just enter a key word like ‘ghazal’, ‘bhajan’, ‘mukesh’, ‘ghulam ali’, etc., and the blog will come up with relevent results for you.

  • What’s coming up

There is a lot of music coming up in all categories and genres. It’s just that I have not been able to spend more time on this blog. And then, there are not many comments either to take encouragement from. I have scheduled a few more additions and they will mainly be Bhajans and Ghazals for the time being; though there might be a few surprises here and there.

I am also planning to bring out some videos of old Hindi classics for you guys to download and add to your collection if you are fans of the golden era of Hindi cinema. All that and much  more is in the pipeline. But obviously, I am going at a slow pace – 6 to 8 posts a month. I can do much better than that, really. Only that I want you to assure me of your company by leaving comments. That’s possible, right?

So keep visiting and leave comments.
